I can't believe that this year is already over! It has flown by so fast. For this last community meeting we discussed the upcoming fairs, club bookkeeping, and the kickoff meeting for next year.

Also, the kickoff meeting date has been changed from Sunday, August 19 to Saturday, August 18th at 3:30 at Poway Community Park. As it is a potluck, members may bring food to share. Feel free to bring friends or anyone else interested in joining 4-H.

Be sure to support our members at the San Diego County (Del Mar) Fair and Ramona Fair and have a great summer!

This past community meeting we discussed upcoming events, a possible meeting time/ day change, and voted in the officers for next year. Congratulations to everyone who will be leading Poway 4-H next year. 

We have several events this month as the year comes to a close. Be sure to go to Poodles in the Park this May 19th, at Webb Park, go to the San Diego County Fair this June, Ramona Junior Fair this August, and be at our Kickoff Meeting August 19th at Poway Community Park.

We had a community meeting Wednesday, April 4th, at 6:30pm at Poway Community Park. Officer nominations were discussed and elections will occur next meeting, however we are happy to have more officers nominated next year as well. The agenda is attached below for those who missed it. 

Don't forget, April 15th at 10am we will meet at Poway Lake to go on a hike and cleanup. See you all there!

We will be having a community meeting on Wednesday, March 7th, at 6:30pm at the Bill Bonds Room in Poway Community Park. An after meeting is prepared to be sure to come. See you there!

Area presentation day and Art and Design Day are coming up. These are great opportunities to connect with 4-Hers outside of our club and to demonstrate your public speaking skills. (And they look great on your record book.) Presentation Day is an judged competition where member get to talk about almost anything want. If the 4-Her does well, they can progress to the county and then state presentation days. Art and Design is another chance for members to show off their creations whether that be table settings, clothing that they made themselves, crafts, or even engineering projects! Attached below are manuals describing how to prepare for these days. Have fun!

We have a community meeting tonight, February 7th, at 6:30pm at Community Park. Be sure to come as we have a lot to discuss and are making valentines for vets after the meeting. See you all there!

We have a lot of things happening in the month of January. Youth Summit and Junior Leadership Camp are on 1/12- 1/14 and 1/19- 1/21 respectively. These are great opportunities to meet 4-Hers outside of our club and learn a ton!

Also, don't forget about ice skating as a club at the San Diego Ice Arena on January 27th at 1pm. Feel free to invite friends, family, or whomever you wish. Hope to see you all there and happy new year!

We have a community meeting coming up on October 4, 2017 at 7pm. We will be meeting at Poway Community Park in the Bill Bond Hall #2. This is a great time to discuss upcoming events, what 4-H really is, and get to meet everybody. The agenda is attached below. See you all there!
